A SHORT GUIDE TO AEW’S ANNA JAY

Anna Jay of the Dark Order is one of the many young talents AEW has recently signed to its developing woman’s division. At the age of 22, Anna was trained by WCW alumni Glacier, along with fellow AEW star QT Marshall. Despite having very little in ring experience, Anna Jay has quickly made a name for herself after quickly joining the ranks of the Dark Order.

Anna Jay (previously Anna Jayy), also known as ‘The Queen Slayer’, made her pro-wrestling debut in October 2019 for Georgia Premier Wrestling, where she is best known for winning a hair vs hair match against Thunder Blonde.

After only having 5 matches on the independent scene, Anna Jay signed with AEW on the 1st of April 2020. She then faced current AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida a few days later in her debut match for the company, unfortunately in a losing effort.

After losing the following 2 matches to Penelope Ford and Abadon, Anna Jay’s AEW career then stood at 0-3. But following her 3rd consecutive loss, Brodie Lee reached out to Anna and invited her to become the newest member of the Dark Order, which she accepted. Anna would be the 3rd member of the Nightmare Factory to join the Dark Order after Preston Vance and Alan Angels had already joined.

After joining the Dark Order, Anna Jay and Tay Conti went on to reach the second round of the AEW’s Women’s Tag Cup, before losing to eventual winners Diamante and Ivelisse. Since then, Anna Jay has won her last 4 singles matches – most notably defeating Brandi Rhodes on Late Night Dynamite.

In recent months, Anna Jay and Brandi Rhodes have been embroiled in a heated feud – with multiple attacks on Brandi coming from Anna Jay.

Despite having only 14 matches under her belt in her 12 month career, Anna Jay has gone from strength to strength with each passing match and continues to improve in the ring. At the age of 22 she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her – but will she remain part of the Dark Order to achieve her ultimate goal of becoming AEW Women’s Champion one day?
