IMPACT WRESTLING: GENESIS PREVIEW

This Saturday sees the return of the Super X-Cup to Impact Wrestling’s Genesis event. This event can be watched on either Impact Plus or Fite TV. Along with the returning Super X-Cup tournament, we will also see matches such as Willie Mack vs Moose, and Jordyn Grace vs Jazz featuring on the card.

So, let us preview the Super X-Cup tournament first. This year we have 8 of the most outstanding X-Division competitors Impact have to offer:

ACE AUSTIN

After joining Impact Wrestling in 2019, Ace Austin has gone to obtain instant success within the company winning the X-Division title and being named X-Division star of the year, as well as gaining match of the year for 2020 in the Impact Wrestling end of year awards.

SUICIDE

Suicide is no doubt the dark horse of the tournament. Will it be TJP or Caleb Konley donning the mask this Saturday? Both wrestlers are extremely talented, and Suicide’s first round match against Ace Austin could be match of the night.

DAIVARI

Former X-Division champion Daivari returned at Bound For Glory during the Call Your Shot Battle Royal, and with his experience it could easily go the distance.

COUSIN JAKE

Since splitting with his tag team partner, Cousin Jake has finally got the chance to show the world what he can do on his own. Can he live up to expectations?

CRAZZY STEVE

The ex-member of Decay and former X-Division champion is the most unpredictable man in the field, and could easily lose his first round match to Tre Lamar – or will he go all the way to win it all?

TRE LAMAR

Impact Wrestling newcomer Tre Lamar is the biggest unknown in the field of 8, but anyone who has followed his career on the independents knows exactly how good he is. If his match against Jordan Oliver at the recent GCW 56 Nights PPV is anything to go by, we’re all in for a treat.

KC NAVARRO

Another newcomer to Impact, Navarro first came into the mainstream audience’s light when he teamed with Danny Limelight on AEW Dark in a losing effort to Jurassic Express back in November.

BLAKE CHRISTIAN

Yet another newcomer, Blake Christian showed the world exactly what he’s about with fantastic showings at the recent GCW Good Riddance and 56 Nights events. Blake is undoubtedly another dark horse of the tournament with a huge future ahead of him.

PREDICTIONS:

Whatever happens, this event will be a treat. This year’s field is stacked and any one of these matches could be up for match of the year. But I’m going to go with an Ace Austin vs Blake Christian final, with Austin taking home the cup.

JORDYNNE GRACE VS JAZZ

What a treat for wrestling fans! After making her debut with Impact Wrestling back in November, Women’s wrestling legend Jazz takes on the former Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace in what should be a slug fest for the ages.

WINNER PREDICTION- Jordynne Grace

I QUIT MATCH – MOOSE VS WILLIE MACK

What more can you say here? Two of the most talented big men in wrestling going head-to-head in one of the most dangerous and unpredictable matches in wrestling. Tension has been running high between these two for a long time, and this match could be an instant classic.

WINNER PREDICTION- MOOSE

IN CONCLUSION:

Genesis is the final stop before Impact Wrestling’s first PPV of the year: Hard To Kill. Make sure you drop your predictions for the show in the comments below.
