Cody Rhodes: “I wrestled everybody I wanted to in AEW,”

Cody Rhodes return to WWE may have been the worst kept secret in all of professional wrestling.

After his win over Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania, Rhodes joined The Ringer. During one his first interviews since making his WWE comeback, Rhodes discussed how he no longer wanted to challenge for the TNT Championship.

Rhodes also talked about not wanting to hold the Championship hostage and how he felt it was the right time to move on from AEW.

“I wrestled everybody I wanted to in AEW,” Rhodes admitted. “I didn’t want to be a 15-time TNT Champion and hold the belt hostage, I wanted to move on to a different piece of leather. I don’t know why the contract is so complicated. My agent doesn’t want me to disclose much, but yes it’s a pretty long contract.”
