Alexa Bliss has been off TV since the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in February. It was reported that she was taken off TV while she prepared for her recent wedding.
Fightful Select reported today that WWE filmed 9 vignettes for her return to the ring in January. The segments culminated in her inclusion in the Elimination Chamber. However, there was no solid creative direction for Bliss.
Bliss voiced her displeasure in the days after the Elimination Chamber about her direction or lack thereof. Creative was told that she wanted to work WrestleMania and there were pitches to involve her in the Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair match, but they were nixed.
By the end of February, it was decided that Bliss would not be featured at WrestleMania. The priority of booking Bliss shifted after the vignettes finished. Bliss was transparent about her frustrations that nothing had been booked for her despite being out of action for 6 months. Word has it that Bliss had voiced her displeasure directly to Vince McMahon.
