After CM Punk announced he will require surgery for an injury on Rampage last night, AEW announced that Dynamite will kick off with a battle royal this Wednesday.
The winner of the battle royal will face Jon Moxley at the Forbidden Door PPV to crown an interim champion.
It was also announced that the interim champion will face CM Punk at a later date to unify the Championships.
