As reported by Cultaholic, on AEW Rampage December 9 Trent Seven made his surprise AEW debut, taking on the All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy. He was OC’s hand-picked opponent appointed by Kip Sabian.
Seven would go on to appear in the crowd at the ROH PPV Final Battle on December 10, with cameras showing the former British Strong Style member watching the PURE Title match between Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta. This seemingly suggested that Seven could be placed in the PURE title picture at some point.
During the media scrum after the Final Fight PPV, AEW/ROH President Tony Khan was asked about Seven’s future in both companies, with Khan saying the following:
“He’s been in Texas, he obviously wrestled on ‘AEW Rampage’ last night, he could appear with us again,” said Khan. “He could certainly appear with us again, he’s come and done really nicely. So he’s been here for an appearance, he competed last night and was here watching the show very keenly. He could be a good opponent for any champion in Ring of Honor. He was great in a championship match last night. Great show last night.”
Seven’s last major promotion he wrestled for was WWE NXT UK, having been signed with the company since late 2016 until his release in August 2022.
