William Regal and WWE reach terms:
William Regal is returning to WWE in January. Speculation was rife for weeks regarding Regal’s status with AEW, until Tony Khan dispelled rumours by announcing that Regal asked the company not to pick up his contact option at the end of 2022, Regal requesting he wanted to work with his son, who wrestles in NXT as Charlie Dempsey.
With Regal heading back to WWE, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Regal has come to terms with WWE on his new position, and that the veteran Englishman will assume a Vice President role, although Regal’s official role has not been revealed.
In his last run, his job title was WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting, working closely with Triple H in NXT.
