Eric Bischoff discusses his relationship with AEW:
Eric Bischoff spoke with TV/radio personality Chris Van Vliet recently about numerous topics including his appearances with AEW and possibilities going forward. Bischoff has bounced between WWE and AEW appearances over the last few years and Bischoff spoke about how that came about, Bischoff said: “Yeah that one (the AEW relationship) is not as good anymore, but that was my choice,” Bischoff said.
Bischoff has been fairly outspoken over the past year about the way AEW operate, the former RAW general manager has stated that he dislikes the way AEW take shots at WWE on their TV shows, instead of just portraying themselves as the underdog, as well as saying that he doesn’t like the way AEW tells stories and seemingly make matches from nothing and with no story linked to them. Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast recently, Bischoff also said about Mandy Rose: “I would say Mandy – what the f*** are you talking about going to AEW? You’re making more money 45 minutes a week than you could make in the next two years at AEW. And why would you do that? She’s been to the mountaintop. Going to AEW would be a step down for her.”
Seems as if Bischoff won’t be making an appearance on AEW tv again, Bischoff appeared for the first time in 2020 as a moderator for a Chris Jericho/Orange Cassidy segment, during the height of their feud, Bischoff’s last appearance on AEW Tv was in May 2021 where he hosted a party for the now defunct faction, The Inner Circle.
