Saraya Comments On Sasha Banks’ Status

Saraya comments on Sasha Banks’ status:

AEW star Saraya has high praise for former colleague Sasha Banks. The latter’s status has been up in the air since her and Naomi (Trinity Fatu) walked out of WWE Raw on May 16th this year. Banks and Naomi were Raw Tag Team Champions at the time of the walkout, with speculation that creative differences was the reason for the walkout. Neither woman has returned to the company since, however Banks has been causing a stir recently with rumours she will appear at Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Speaking with Alistair George of Metro Saraya had praise for her former colleague walking out, she said: “I love the fact that she took her career into her own hands, and she knows her worth and she knows she wants to be treated a certain way, and she deserves to be treated that way because she’s done a lot for the wrestling business. She’s one of the girls that puts butts in seats, and you want to see wrestle and you wanna see main event. She deserves all those things. Wherever she ends up, I’m gonna be happy for her, and anyone that gets her is gonna be very, very lucky. I just selfishly hope that I get to wrestle her one day. I don’t know if she’d want to because she’d probably be scared to wrestle me again”

Saraya’s (Then Paige) last match in WWE was against The Boss in December 2017 where she suffered a kick that re injured her neck, forcing her into early retirement. Saraya has stated in the past that she holds no ill will towards Banks for the kick, saying that accidents happen and that Banks was the first person she messaged after her 2022 comeback.

Saraya is set to team with a mystery partner against Britt Baker and reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter, with some speculation being that her mystery partner will be Sasha Banks. We’ll see where Banks ends up in the coming weeks.
