During the May 19 episode of AEW Rampage, TBS Champion Jade Cargill issued an open challenge and faced off against familiar foes. She defeated Dani B and Jennacide, but then Taya Valkyrie made a surprise attack. Valkyrie challenged Cargill to a title match at AEW Double or Nothing.
Valkyrie has been in a feud with Cargill since her debut on March 15. Cargill previously defeated Valkyrie and retained the title on April 26, where Valkyrie was prohibited from using her finisher.
Cargill, the inaugural TBS Champion since January 5, 2022, is set to defend her title in this highly anticipated match.
