All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had a eventful day, unveiling their new Saturday night show “AEW Collision” and broadcasting “AEW Dynamite” live from Austin, Texas. However, the wrestling world was abuzz with news of a clash between AEW and former AEW World Champion CM Punk.
According to Dave Meltzer on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Punk was initially set to be part of the “AEW Collision” announcement during the Warner Bros. Discovery 2023 Upfront. However, Warner Bros. Discovery was instructed to remove Punk from all promotional materials, but inadvertently left him in a leaked press release. Meltzer revealed that a “situation” had occurred, supporting PWInsider’s report on Ace Steel. It is believed that Warner Bros. Discovery hopes to resolve the issue amicably.
