In a recent interview with Ring the Belle, Shayna Baszler expressed her appreciation for Nia Jax’s assistance during her transition from NXT to the main roster. Baszler acknowledged Jax as a valuable ally and credited her for helping navigate the unfamiliar territory.
“I had a lot of fun teaming up with Nia,” Baszler shared. “She really helped me out when I didn’t know anyone. I had just come up here. We decided to team up, and she actually really helped me out a lot behind the scenes, too, like ‘knowing the ropes,’ as they say. I enjoyed it because I did get to show a different side of me that I didn’t get to really show in NXT.”
Despite their storyline leading to Baszler causing an on-screen injury to Jax, resulting in Jax’s temporary absence from WWE, Jax made a remarkable comeback at the 2023 Royal Rumble event, signaling her return to the wrestling world.
Currently, Baszler is set to compete alongside Ronda Rousey on May 29 for a chance to reclaim the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The upcoming match presents an opportunity for Baszler to further solidify her impressive wrestling career.
