With the upcoming debut of All Elite Wrestling’s Saturday night TV show, Collision, on June 17, rumors have been circulating about a potential roster split within AEW. Speculation suggests that certain talents will be primarily featured on Collision, while others will remain on Dynamite.
While AEW has not officially confirmed a brand split, CEO Tony Khan addressed these rumors during the Double or Nothing media call. Khan acknowledged the curiosity surrounding the future allocation of talent across Dynamite and Collision, emphasizing that he has yet to provide a detailed explanation of his plans.
He stated, “I haven’t given a lengthy explanation yet for what I’m planning regarding the future of the roster and how people will be allocated across Dynamite and Collision and our other shows. It’s a great question, certainly. I can see why wrestling fans all over the world would be interested and curious about that.”
Khan further expressed that building anticipation and curiosity around the roster’s future direction is intentional. He acknowledged the fans’ interest in understanding the implications of the brand split and assured that AEW will follow up on these questions in due course.
While reports have indicated that CM Punk will have a prominent role on AEW Collision upon his return, with other notable names like Miro, Andrade El Idolo, Thunder Rosa, Samoa Joe, and Powerhouse Hobbs confirmed for the Saturday night show, the specifics of talent allocation between Dynamite and Collision are yet to be fully revealed.
As AEW continues to evolve and expand its programming, fans can expect further updates on the future direction of the roster after the Double or Nothing event.
