The anticipated conclusion of the feud between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns might have to wait until WrestleMania next year, according to recent reports.
During WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns faced off in a highly-anticipated match, with Cody aiming to bring their story to a close. Unfortunately, Cody fell short in his quest and has since shifted his focus to a rivalry with Brock Lesnar.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that the Cody vs. Reigns storyline is far from over and could potentially culminate at WrestleMania 40.
“In terms of long-term plans, Roman Reigns vs. Rhodes is the ultimate destination match. WrestleMania is a strong possibility, but with such a long timeframe, there are numerous factors that could come into play,” stated the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In the upcoming Night of Champions event, Cody will square off against Brock Lesnar, while Roman Reigns will vie for the opportunity to become one half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Fans will have to patiently wait and see how the storyline unfolds, as the WrestleMania 40 showdown between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns holds significant potential for an epic conclusion to their ongoing rivalry.
