The next contenders for Gallus’ coveted tag team titles have now been determined.
During the electrifying episode of NXT on June 20, three formidable teams stepped into the ring, vying for the opportunity to become the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, and Hank Walker & Tank Ledger all brought their A-game, seeking a chance to challenge the reigning champions, Gallus (comprised of Mark Coffey & Wolfgang), on the upcoming Night Two of NXT Gold Rush.
With high stakes at hand, each team unleashed their arsenal of skills, leaving no stone unturned. However, it was the impressive tandem of Blade and Enofe who emerged victorious, securing their well-deserved title shot.
Gallus, having clinched the championship titles on February 4, 2023, during NXT Vengeance Day, successfully dethroned the formidable duo of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Since then, they have valiantly defended their titles five times, most recently triumphing over The Creed Brothers at NXT Battleground.
For Blade and Enofe, this marks their third attempt at capturing the Tag Team Titles, having previously fallen short against The Creed Brothers and Pretty Deadly, respectively.
