Former WWE star John Hennigan, known as Johnny Elite and John Morrison, has made a grand return to the wrestling scene in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The exciting development unfolded on Wednesday night, during the Rampage tapings that are scheduled to air this Friday. Hennigan was featured in a segment alongside QT Marshall, sharing the spotlight with The Acclaimed.
Hennigan had previously debuted in AEW last May, making his presence known on an episode of Dynamite as one of the participants in the Owen Hart Cup tournament. Unfortunately, he faced defeat at the hands of Samoa Joe in that particular match.

Following his departure from WWE in November 2021, along with the release of several other wrestling talents, Hennigan’s second stint with the company came to an end. However, during the interim between his WWE runs, he embarked on an extensive wrestling journey across the globe, leaving his mark in promotions such as Impact, AAA, Lucha Underground, and various other venues. Notably, since parting ways with WWE, Hennigan has showcased his skills in AAA and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).
Although no official announcement has been made, reliable sources from Pwinsider Elite indicate that Hennigan’s signing with AEW is widely believed backstage. Furthermore, it has been suggested that he will adopt the ring name “Johnny Television” (or possibly “Johnny TV”) for his AEW wrestling endeavors.
