One of the matches that was removed from the show was the previously announced showdown between Bayley and Shotzi, which had been publicized since last week.
The match came about when IYO SKY accepted the challenge on behalf of Bayley, risking her spot in the Money in the Bank event. However, the scheduled match did not take place, and instead, a match between Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans was added as a replacement.
Bayley took to Twitter to express her disappointment over the cancellation of her advertised match, acknowledging the common saying in wrestling that the card is subject to change. She wrote:
“Card subject to change.. Sorry.
Sorry you couldn’t watch me beat that ass.”
In the upcoming episode of Raw, a “summit” will be held featuring the six participants in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
