An unexpected development has taken place surrounding the highly anticipated AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show, potentially revealing a spoiler. The revelation emerged online, originating from the scheduled Forbidden Door meet and greet event held during the Collision tapings in Toronto. This event featured the presence of several prominent NJPW stars.

Interestingly, the lineup of NJPW stars included Tetsuya Naito, who hasn’t been officially announced for the show. Nevertheless, speculation has been rife that Naito could be unveiled as the tag team partner for Darby Allin and Sting.
However, an update has emerged regarding this situation. The previously advertised meet and greet session featuring Naito has now been canceled, and Hiroshi Tanahashi has been announced as his replacement. It remains unclear whether the initial mention of Naito was a mere error or if he will indeed be absent from the Forbidden Door event.
Reports indicate that there will be “at least one” alteration to the Forbidden Door card. As soon as further information becomes available, we will promptly provide updates on the matter.
