NJPW has added 2 more matches to the cards for night 1 and night 2 of the NJPW STRONG “INDEPENDENCE DAY” tour. The Tour is set to take place on July 4 & 5 from Korakuen Hall, Tokyo.

On June 25 at STRADOM’s PPV event “STARDOM SUNSHINE 2023” as previously reported, Giulia retained the Artists of STARDOM titles with here fellow partners and champions. After the match, she then issued a challenge to Willow Nightingale for her NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship. Giulia demanded that Nightingale be a part of STRONG’s Korakuen invasion, and that the title should be put on the line against her ‘beautiful insanity’.
Willow Nightingale heard of the challenge mere hours before she was heading into her own challenge for the AEW World Women’s Championship against Toni Storm at Forbidden Door, as the STARDOM PPV took place earlier on the same day as the cross promotion PPV of AEW & NJPW. However, Willow did not waste any time and accepted the challange. That match is now official for night 2 of “INDEPENDENCE DAY” on Wednesday July 5.
Next after Giulia issued the challenge she was confronted by Momo Kohgo who took part in the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship tournament which Giulia is taking pot shots at Momo for entering, as Giulia and the rest of the STARDOM locker room were surprised by. This resulted in a physical confrontation between the two, thus setting up the 2nd match added to the cards for night 1 a tag team match which will see Willow team up with Momo on Tuesday July 4 to face the team of Giulia and fellow DDM (Donna Del Mondo) faction mate the ‘Toxic Spider’, Thekla.
