At the time of their walkout, Naomi and Banks were the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and were subsequently suspended indefinitely.
In April 2023, Naomi joined IMPACT Wrestling.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Jimmy Uso, Trinity’s husband, shared his thoughts on working in a different company than his wife.
“It’s been strange. We’ve been on the road together since we started our WWE career. For 12 years, and then suddenly it came to a stop, our schedules changed, and I don’t see her as much due to our schedules and what she’s doing. It’s been an adjustment, but we make it work. She’s having a great time, going at her own pace, which is something we rarely get to do. She’s enjoying it, pursuing her passions in Broadway, music, and acting,” he said.
When asked if he was concerned about his own position after her departure, Jimmy said, “I wasn’t really worried about myself. My main concern was her, making sure everything was okay. It wasn’t about me. I just wanted to ensure that everything was good. On that day, I was extremely busy. I had a match, and when I came backstage, she had left. Tensions were already high at that point. Then we found out about everything.”
When asked if he would like to see her return, Jimmy responded, “Of course, she would like to come back. Ultimately, we started our careers here in WWE, and in a perfect world, we would like to finish here as well. She is definitely open to returning, and when the timing is right and everything aligns, hopefully, it will work out.”
Jey added, “Please come back. We need her on the road. Give me and him a break. She’s the middleman among all of us.”
Trinity is scheduled to challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at IMPACT Slammiversary.
