Ibushi’s management has reportedly reduced his media obligations, citing an increasingly busy schedule in the near future. A source close to Ibushi in Japan has even revealed that he plans to participate in the upcoming AEW show. Although Ibushi wrestled for GCW during WrestleMania week, he has been absent from action since October 2021 due to various reasons.
There were concerns among talent who have worked for both New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and AEW regarding the potential strain on the relationship between Ibushi and NJPW if he were to become involved with AEW. It is worth noting that Ibushi had experienced issues with NJPW in the past, leading to his departure. However, Ibushi has stated that those issues have been resolved, and he has received a contract offer from NJPW.
