Big Update On Major AEW Star Returning To The Company Soon

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter has been absent from television, and an update has recently emerged regarding her status. Hayter was last seen at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on May 28, where she lost her championship to Toni Storm in a short match. Prior to her title loss, there were reports of Hayter dealing with an injury.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Hayter has not been backstage at AEW since her match with Storm. Fans and Hayter herself are likely hoping for her return in time for the All In event at Wembley Stadium on August 27, which takes place in her home country of England.

Hayter’s injury layoff disrupted plans in late May, much like Bryan Danielson’s broken arm injury at Forbidden Door 2023, which has presented challenges for AEW President Tony Khan. Danielson’s absence has created an opening on the Blackpool Combat Club’s team for the upcoming Blood & Guts match on July 19 against The Elite. While there have been indications that Kota Ibushi may fill the vacant spot on Team Elite, an announcement regarding the open positions is anticipated to be made on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
