According to a report by Fightful Select, there are ongoing negotiations between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) regarding an extension of their deal, and it seems a significant change could be on the horizon. Sources from Warner Bros Discovery have confirmed to Fightful Select that one of their major proposals to All Elite Wrestling involves the subject of PPV (or PLE) events. In particular, they have expressed a strong interest in significantly expanding the AEW PPV schedule, potentially even to one event per month. This aligns with Warner Bros Discovery’s desires for the promotion.

It remains unclear whether these events would be standalone or included in a MAX streaming deal, as sources from Warner Bros Discovery have not provided further details on this matter. AEW has already expanded their special event schedule in recent years, introducing Forbidden Door last year and AEW All In this year. However, there have been no official announcements regarding broadcast plans at this time.
It’s important to note that nothing in the deal has been finalized as far as our knowledge goes, and there is a possibility that the proposed expanded schedule could change. Nonetheless, the idea of increasing the number of AEW PPV events has been a topic of discussion between the parties involved.
