Earlier this year, NJPW and Himromu Takahashi went out and worked together with other promotions across Japan and freelancers to bring the best and most fun Jr. Heavyweight wrestling to the world known as the “ALL STAR Jr. FESTIVAL 2023”. It was a big success and NJPW’s Rocky Romero who was not part of the show but left a video message thanking everyone and that he loved Hiromu’s idea and asked him if they could bring this event to the USA. Shortly thereafter, the “ALL STAR Jr. FESTIVAL USA 2023” was announced.

Along side the this even being announced, the previously to mentioned NJPW talent Hirmou Takahashi & Rocky Romero where the first 2 talents revealed for the event. Now the next talent added to the show is the talented Nick Wayne. This announcement came just a day after Nick made his AEW debut. We can also speculate that with NJPW relationship and openness to work with others, we could potentially see names from AEW/ROH, Impact, CMLL, NJPW STRONG amongst others. More names for this event should be added soon.
“ALL STAR Jr. FESTIVAL 2023 USA” is set the take place on August 19 at the renowned 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. Keep your eyes peeled for updated on this event.
