Major AEW Star Injured & Requires Knee Surgery

According to Tony Khan, Mark Briscoe is currently injured and unable to compete at ROH’s upcoming pay-per-view, Death Before Dishonor. Khan expressed his well wishes for Briscoe’s recovery on Twitter.

Additionally, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli is on a training sabbatical to prepare for the upcoming week, which includes the Blood and Guts event on TBS and his championship defense at Death Before Dishonor.

The details regarding Castagnoli’s challenger for the pay-per-view will be addressed after the Blood and Guts event.

Sources close to Briscoe have confirmed that he has suffered a “serious” knee injury that may require surgery. Initially, the main event for Death Before Dishonor was set to feature Castagnoli against Briscoe, with the challenge coming from Eddie Kingston.
