Santana sustained an injury during last year’s Blood & Guts match, where he, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston, and the Blackpool Combat Club emerged victorious against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
In recent weeks, Santana has been sharing teasing posts on social media under the title ‘RICANstruction’, strongly suggesting that his return to the squared circle is on the horizon.
This week, Santana shared the latest teaser for his upcoming comeback, a simple photo displaying the text:
“This comeback is personal.”
Konnan recently disclosed that Santana had previously expressed frustration with his creative direction in AEW, particularly concerning his departure from the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Additionally, Konnan seemed to confirm recent rumors that Santana and his tag team partner, Ortiz, known as Proud ‘n’ Powerful, had experienced discord prior to Santana’s injury.
