During the match, Finn Balor’s distraction diverted the referee’s attention, allowing Mysterio to gain an advantage. Furthermore, Damian Priest’s initial attempt to intervene was thwarted by Lee. However, Lee’s momentum was abruptly halted when Rhea Ripley delivered a decisive blow to his head using the Women’s World Championship belt.
With this victory, Mysterio joins “Mami” Rhea Ripley as the second member of Judgment Day to hold gold in WWE. Notably, Mysterio’s journey in NXT was brief, as he was promptly called up to the main roster in the summer of 2020.
Originally slated to face Wes Lee for the North American Championship, Mustafa Ali now finds himself on a collision course with the newly crowned “Dirty” Dom Mysterio. Wrestling fans eagerly await the clash between these talented competitors in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown for the coveted title.
