Recent reports suggest that WWE is in talks with free agent Nick Aldis, adding to the previous rumors of WWE’s interest in him. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, various parties have expressed interest in acquiring Aldis’s services.

“Aldis had been in talks with WWE before coming to Impact. WWE, which while talks about a hiring freeze aren’t true, has not been hiring many new people… Aldis is back in talks, and Mike Johnson reported that he will be getting a trial as a producer as early as next month. Aldis has no new deal in place and is said to be interested in both AEW and WWE. Aldis did clean jobs on the way out to Alex Shelley in the title match and Eric Young on TV. Aldis is a free agent right now and had agreed to work here through this week.”
Aldis had been in talks with WWE before joining Impact Wrestling, and now, talks have resumed. Mike Johnson’s report indicates that Aldis might receive a trial as a producer with WWE as early as next month.
Currently a free agent, Aldis is exploring options with both AEW and WWE. Despite his recent clean losses to Alex Shelley in the title match at IMPACT Slammiversary 2023 PPV and to Eric Young on TV, Aldis’s future remains uncertain as he doesn’t have a new deal in place and agreed to work with IMPACT through this week.
