The future of Kenny Omega and The Elite in AEW has sparked interest, as their current deals are up for negotiations. It was previously reported that no deals had been finalized, and WWE was not legally allowed to talk to any of them.

According to Dave Meltzer’s update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the prevailing belief is that The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Adam Page will stay with AEW. Omega’s off-air interview in Boston hinted at this, and the handshake between the Golden Elite and BCC further suggested a continued partnership.
Previously, WWE had hoped to have a shot at signing Omega in 2024, but now they believe he’s staying with AEW. AEW’s Tony Khan has been making significant offers, possibly banking on a potential rate increase in the future. However, television’s current uncertain state might impact long-term commitments.
Before joining AEW, WWE showed interest in Jay White, the former NJPW star, but he ultimately chose AEW over WWE. There have also been recent reports of an unnamed AEW star expressing interest in moving to WWE, but contractual issues and the MLW lawsuit against WWE create obstacles for such moves. The lawsuit accuses WWE of “egregious anti-competitive behavior” during their talent acquisition process.
