Throughout the intense bout, they showcased their strength and determination, eliminating several formidable teams. Serpentico and Luther were the first to be ousted, followed by Ethan Page and Isiah Kassidy. Bill’s power was on full display as he single-handedly took out Matt Menard and Angelo Parker from the match.
Continuing their impressive run, they joined forces to clothesline Singh and Jay Lethal over the ropes. The Butcher and The Blade managed to eliminate Jeff Hardy, thereby removing him and Matt Hardy from contention. Ultimately, it came down to a thrilling face-off between Big Bill, Brian Cage, and The Butcher. In a gripping finale, Bill and Cage emerged victorious by eliminating The Butcher, securing their shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Notably, this Battle Royale also marked the highly-anticipated return of Jeff Hardy to AEW TV since his last appearance on the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he and Matt Hardy faced defeat against The Gunns. Matt revealed that Jeff had suffered a dislocated jaw during the post-match attack by Jay White and Juice Robinson.
Previously partnering in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament, Cage and Bill encountered a setback when they lost to Adam Cole and MJF in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, MJF and Cole are set to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the July 29 episode of AEW Collision. The winners of that bout will face off against the formidable duo of Brian Cage and Big Bill, promising an electrifying showdown in their quest for championship gold.
