Jade Cargill’s AEW Future Uncertain Amidst TBS Title Loss
Jade Cargill’s status within AEW has become increasingly uncertain, raising questions about her future with the company. When she held the TBS Title, it seemed like Jade Cargill was destined to become the next big superstar in AEW’s women’s division. However, recent developments have left her future hanging in the balance.
During Double or Nothing, Cargill faced both victory and defeat. After defeating Taya Valkyrie, she lost the TBS Title to Kris Statlander. Following the event, she mysteriously vanished from television, and no mention has been made of her since. While initial reports suggested she would be taking some time off, her recent hints on social media have fueled genuine doubts about her potential return to AEW.
Dave Meltzer, a veteran journalist, shared his observations on Wrestling Observer Radio, describing AEW’s handling of Jade Cargill’s booking as “some of the weirdest ever.” As of now, the situation remains uncertain, and nobody knows for certain what lies ahead for this talented star within AEW. The uncertainty surrounding her status has become a topic of speculation among fans and wrestling enthusiasts alike.
“Nothing. Nothing past she’s considering not coming back, is what she said, which was the last thing we heard. She wanted to take some time off. Sometimes I feel like, boy, it’s like they pushed her and pushed her and pushed her and pushed her, and they never put her in the big matches. Then she’s gone.
Like a multi-year push, and yet they gave her that one belt, but she never, but I don’t know if that, there’s like, again, did she never wrestle Britt [Baker]? You know, she never wrestled Tony Storm. Almost like they kept them away from her, now she’s gone. So will she be back? I mean, she’s got a storyline to come back to.
I mean, they didn’t, you know, she lost, but she lost in a way where she had a gripe, but she’s gone. She never made the gripe. I don’t know what the future holds for her. She’s the only one who probably knows. Yeah. I mean, Maybe she’s still figuring it out.”
