In a momentous occurrence on the landmark 200th episode of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm took the center stage in a highly anticipated headlining showdown. Storm valiantly defended her AEW Women’s World Championship against the determined Shida, and the clash between these two luminaries proved to be a hard-fought spectacle. Throughout the bout, Saraya and Ruby Soho made their presence felt, injecting their own twists into the contest.

In the final stretches of the match, Saraya discreetly introduced a kendo stick into the ring. Seizing the opportunity, Shida wielded the kendo stick, delivering a decisive strike to Soho. However, Storm countered by using spray paint to momentarily blind her challenger and executed a Storm Zero maneuver, narrowly missing the victory. Yet, in a stunning reversal, Shida managed to transform Storm’s pin attempt into a pinfall of her own, securing the triumphant three-count.
With this victory, Shida clinched the coveted title for the second time in her career. Previously, she had secured the championship by defeating Nyla Rose at AEW Double or Nothing 2020, holding the title reign for an impressive 372 days.
Storm, who had previously reclaimed the championship from Jamie Hayter at AEW Double or Nothing 2023, witnessed her championship run come to a close. Despite three televised title defenses and successful retentions at two live events, Shida’s tenacity proved insurmountable on this monumental night.
