WWE SummerSlam 2023 is scheduled for tonight, August 5th, featuring a lineup of eight matches. The event has faced criticism due to the contentious choice of removing the anticipated Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus match.

Originally slated for the event, the match had to be rescheduled due to time limitations. It has now been rescheduled for an upcoming episode of Raw in Winnipeg, set to take place in two weeks’ time. Recent reports indicated that Becky was present in Detroit for the show, but she quickly clarified that this was not accurate.
Today, on the day of the event, Becky took to Twitter to express her disappointment at being excluded from the lineup. This came after a prolonged feud between her and Stratus, which had been building up over several months. She shared an image of herself holding lemons and added the caption:
“Turning these lemons into lemonade. What’s everyone else up to this weekend?”
In addition to Becky and Trish, another notable absence from the SummerSlam roster is Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, who also does not have a scheduled match for the event.
