As disclosed by PWInsider, Pillman Jr. concluded his tenure with AEW upon the expiration of his contract in July. In a subsequent development, he reportedly engaged in training at the WWE Performance Center on July 13th. Further confirmation emerged from Fightful Select, affirming WWE’s swift interest in Pillman Jr. upon his availability.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Pillman Jr. is scheduled to participate in the NXT TV taping on Tuesday, August 8th, and it is believed that he has officially joined WWE.
Renowned for being the offspring of former WWE luminary Brian Pillman, Jr., he left an imprint during his time in Major League Wrestling before making his debut in AEW in 2019. Forming the formidable Varsity Blonds tag team alongside Griff Garrison, they inked a deal with AEW in July 2021. In light of Garrison’s surgery at the close of 2022, Pillman Jr. joined forces with Brock Anderson. His last appearance in AEW transpired at the House Rules event on May 13th. Subsequently, Pillman Jr. has continued his presence on the independent wrestling circuit, keeping his momentum intact.
