NJPW G1 Climax 33 Night 18 and its time for the semifinals from Ryogoku Kokugikan (Summo Hall), Tokyo.
Night 18 and its the penultimate night of the tournament the Semifinals. The night kicked off with the legend, Hiroyoshi Tenzan team up with Master Wato to face the NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya and the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion HAYATA. The NOAH pair get it done by getting the pin on Tenzan.
The fisrt of the two semifinal matches saw Kazuchika Okada face EVIL, and as is the norm when fighting EVIL you are not just fighting him but the whole House of Torture. There were a lot of the usual underhanded tactics by EVIL and Co, EVIL even managed to hit Everything is Evil on Okada, but he managed to kick out. In the end Okada went above everything to hit the rainmaker and pick up the win to advance to another G1 Final.
The main event was a banger and again one of the best matches of the tournament. It was Will Ospreay vs. Tetsuya Naito in and epic encounter of 2 of the best and biggest stars in the world. The match went back and forth hitting counters and kicking out of finishing and signature moves that have gotten both wrestlers multiple wins. It seemed that Naito was fading and that Ospreay was in control, but as Ospreay was going for the finishing blow, Naito snapped back to live managing mount some offence and eventually hitting the Destino and Getting the win.
