In the aftermath of Bray Wyatt’s unfortunate passing, significant changes have occurred regarding tonight’s August 25 edition of WWE SmackDown.
The segment featuring Jimmy Uso’s return, which was initially anticipated, has been removed following the news of Wyatt’s death. The sudden demise of Wyatt, known by his real name Windham Rotunda, at the age of 36, has cast a shadow over the show.

Notably, WWE.com has taken down its preview that had highlighted Jimmy Uso’s potential comeback. This segment would have marked Jimmy’s return since his twin brother Jey’s storyline departure from WWE. Meanwhile, the scheduled IYO SKY vs Zelina Vega match and the Grayson Waller vs Rey Mysterio bout are still being promoted at the time of writing.
Reports from PWInsider have indicated that Braun Strowman and Cody Rhodes, both closely connected to Wyatt, are being included in tonight’s SmackDown. However, there’s no confirmation yet about whether they will make on-screen appearances. WWE itself has not officially announced any specific plans on SmackDown regarding Wyatt’s passing, but we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
Rob Fee, WWE’s director of long-term creative and someone who collaborated closely with Wyatt, took to Twitter earlier, expressing that tonight’s show will hold special significance.
