Former ECW standout and WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam, rose to prominence as a wrestling sensation during his tenure with ECW. His fame only grew as he achieved success not only in WWE but also in TNA.
Anticipation had been building as WrestleMania XL was set to take place in Philadelphia next year. It was widely expected that numerous ECW alumni, including RVD, would grace the event with their presence.

However, RVD recently made a surprising appearance in AEW, where he engaged in a showdown against Jack Perry for the FTW Championship on an episode of Dynamite. Intriguingly, RVD has dropped hints that this unexpected appearance in AEW might have led to the cancellation of his planned appearances during the WrestleMania weekend.
During an episode of his podcast, “1 of a Kind,” he shared his thoughts:
“Maybe I’d show you if I was doing a WWE tour WrestleMania weekend, but I have good reason to believe that might be cancelled because of a recent appearance I might have done, with permission, for a different company. Right now, I don’t feel like I can talk too much about that.”
