In an electrifying opening contest at AEW All Out, MJF and Adam Cole, collectively known as “Better Than You, Bay Bay,” successfully retained their ROH Tag Team Championships against the formidable Dark Order duo of John Silver and Alex Reynolds.
The decisive moment of the match witnessed MJF delivering his signature Kangaroo Kick to both members of Dark Order, setting the stage for Cole and MJF to execute a double clothesline that took Reynolds out of contention. Cole then capitalized on the situation by pinning Reynolds, clinching the hard-fought victory.
However, the bout was not without its dramatic twists. Earlier in the match, MJF had to be temporarily removed from ringside by medical personnel after an unexpected steel chair attack to his neck from behind. His triumphant return during the final moments of the contest provided a crucial hot tag, especially after Cole managed to withstand a double clothesline from Dark Order.

Following the match, MJF displayed his determination by declining assistance from officials as he made his way backstage. While he was heading backstage, Samoa Joe began his entrance to the ring for his scheduled match. A brief altercation ensued, with Joe giving MJF a shove before stepping into the ring. The situation escalated as MJF attempted to confront Joe but found himself trapped in a guillotine choke before officials intervened to separate them.
This victory marks the inaugural defense of the ROH Tag Team Championships for Cole and MJF, who initially claimed the titles by defeating Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) at AEW All In on August 27. Notably, Dark Order earned their title opportunity by emerging victorious in a battle royal on the September 1 episode of AEW Rampage.
