A WWE superstar who has been absent from television screens for more than a year is now confirmed to make a triumphant return at an upcoming event. WWE India took to Twitter to make the official announcement that Shanky is scheduled to make his comeback at the Superstar Spectacle event in Hyderabad, India, on September 8.
Shanky’s presence was initially teased when the event was first revealed, but it is now officially confirmed, with WWE India stating:
Shanky’s most recent appearance on WWE TV dates back to the July 22, 2022 episode of SmackDown, where he and Jinder Mahal formed a tag team and faced off against Erik and Ivar of The Viking Raiders, ending in a defeat.

As of the latest WWE draft in April, Shanky’s WWE bio has remained unchanged, and he has not been assigned to a specific brand. It’s worth noting that the Superstar Spectacle event is expected to be exclusively broadcast in India, and one of the featured matches will see John Cena team up with Seth Rollins to take on Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
