Breaking news emerged from AEW last night, with reports indicating that the former AEW TBS Champion, Jade Cargill, is on the verge of departing from the company. Jade made her return to AEW on the September 10 episode of AEW Collision, following her loss of the TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing in May.
A highly-anticipated rematch between Jade and Statlander was announced for this week’s AEW Rampage, which was taped immediately after the September 13 AEW Dynamite. However, it’s speculated that this match might mark Jade Cargill’s final appearance in AEW, as there’s a growing belief within the company that she is headed to WWE.

According to sources at PWInsider, Jade’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire as early as this week. While discussions regarding her continued tenure with AEW took place, no new agreement was reached. Consequently, she currently has no scheduled appearances with AEW and will be free to explore opportunities elsewhere once her contract officially concludes.
Notably, following their match on Rampage where Statlander successfully defended her title against Cargill, reports suggest that Jade and Kris shared an emotional moment, embracing and hugging in the ring. Cargill appeared to be visibly moved, and she was subsequently escorted backstage by Mark Sterling.
