According to Fightful Select, there was a notable change to a planned NXT Title match during WWE Raw. Initially, one version of the WWE Raw script had outlined an open challenge for NXT Champion Becky Lynch, with the challenger set to be Tegan Nox. It’s worth noting that Tegan Nox had not wrestled on WWE Raw since July 3, and her appearances on the brand were limited following her draft.
Becky Lynch had advocated for Tegan Nox to be her opponent on WWE Raw, but ultimately, the plans were altered. Fightful Select learned that the original plan for the day had indeed been Nox vs. Becky Lynch. However, approximately ten minutes before doors opened for the event, the arrangements changed. Lynch and Nox had already prepared their match, with TJ Wilson slated to produce it.

While the specific reason for the change wasn’t disclosed, it resulted in Natalya challenging for the NXT Title instead, and Tegan Nox competing on Main Event against Xia Li. Over the weekend, Fightful reported that higher-ups were pleased with Natalya’s performances in two matches in India.
Over the past few months, there had been no significant creative plans in place for Tegan Nox, unfortunately. Sources indicate that as of now, there is an optimistic hope that the “open challenge” concept will continue, but there are no guarantees in this regard.
