Jake Hager has officially called it a day on his MMA career. With a notable stint under Bellator, he wraps up with a 3-0-1 record, culminating in his last match at Bellator 250 in October 2020, where he secured a victory over Brandon Calton via a split decision.
Since joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Hager has formed a strong association with Chris Jericho, a fellow wrestling luminary.
During a virtual signing session with K & S WrestleFest, Jake Hager confirmed his decision to retire from the world of mixed martial arts.
“Officially, I’m retired from MMA. I trained hard last year but Bellator was jerking me off and I retired and I am now just focusing on wrestling now. The plan is to continue wrestling. It’s who I am. I’ve been around wrestling since five years old so, I hope I can do it as long as (Chris) Jericho’s doing it so, I just gotta keep on working, keep on getting better.”
