A Prominent Wrestler in AEW, ROH, and the US Indie Scene Suffers Hip Injury
El Hijo Del Vikingo, a notable performer in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Ring of Honor (ROH), and the independent wrestling circuit in the United States, is currently grappling with a hip injury.
During a recent ROH TV taping on Saturday, September 16, Vikingo teamed up with Gravity and Metalik to secure a victory against Serpentico, Angelico, and Tony Nese. However, an unfortunate incident occurred during the match when Vikingo sustained a hip injury following a high-risk dive. After the event, he was seen using a wheelchair.
According to a report by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Vikingo’s condition has raised concerns about his scheduled AAA Mega Championship match against Komander this weekend, as the injury has placed the bout in jeopardy.

“He got hurt, as we talked about last night. He got hurt on Saturday night. And it’s a hip injury. He’s got a title match in Mexico on Saturday against Komander, and the last I heard last night is that it’s not 100% that he won’t be doing it, although it’s probable. They’re holding out hope. He was talking like, ‘I’m going to try to rehab all week and see.’ There’s no guarantee that he’s wrestling on Saturday. It’s touch and go. So that’s the situation. But he could be out for a little while, but he didn’t break his hip, thank God. It was a pretty serious injury,” Meltzer stated.
