Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled its plan to introduce a live sports tier on Max starting from October 5. This new offering will be dubbed the “Bleacher Report Sports Add-On” (or B/R Sports) and will be available at an additional cost of $10 per month on top of Max’s regular subscription fee.

During the initial launch phase, a complimentary promotional period will run through October, allowing subscribers to explore the new sports content.

WBD Sports has secured broadcasting rights for a range of major sports leagues and events, including MLB, NBA, NHL (including playoffs and special events like the NHL Winter Classic), NCAA March Madness basketball, U.S. National Team soccer, and WBD’s very own golf brand, The Match.

It’s worth noting that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is not included in the Bleacher Report Sports Add-On tier, as reported by Sports Business Journal. Currently, AEW maintains a partnership with WBD, with AEW programming airing on TBS and TNT, while AEW PPV events are available on Bleacher Report.

AEW President Tony Khan has expressed his desire to expand AEW’s presence on Max, aiming to bring the AEW library to the platform. As of now, the only AEW content available on Max is AEW All Access.
