Dolph Ziggler Released By WWE

Dolph Ziggler Departs WWE in the Latest Round of Releases

WWE has bid farewell to another talent, as Dolph Ziggler’s departure from the company has been confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. Ziggler joins the list of recently released wrestlers, which includes Shelton Benjamin, Emma, Riddick Moss, Top Dolla, Rick Boogs, Elias, and Aliyah. Additionally, Mustafa Ali announced today that he has parted ways with WWE.

Dolph Ziggler’s exit marks the end of an illustrious tenure with WWE. He originally signed with the company in 2004 and made a brief appearance on TV in 2006 as a member of the Spirit Squad under the name Nicky. In 2008, he was repackaged as Dolph Ziggler and went on to become a steadfast performer for WWE over the next 15 years.

During his time in WWE, Ziggler achieved significant success, boasting a record that includes two World Heavyweight Championship reigns, six Intercontinental Championship victories, two United States Championship wins, one NXT Championship, and four WWE Tag Team Championship triumphs. He is also known for executing one of the most memorable Money in the Bank cash-ins in WWE history when he defeated Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Title on the Raw following WrestleMania 39.

Ziggler’s in-ring appearances had become infrequent in 2023, and his last match on WWE TV dates back to a contest against JD McDonagh on the May 29 episode of Monday Night Raw.
