Tonight’s SmackDown witnessed a significant alteration as plans for an LA Knight segment were abruptly removed from the show. The initially reported show rundown indicated a contract signing segment in the main event, with the expectation of a surprise intervention by Knight to aid John Cena, who found himself under attack from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of the Bloodline.
However, when the televised episode concluded with the Bloodline ruthlessly assaulting John Cena and asserting their dominance, it became evident that the originally anticipated assistance did not materialize. Subsequently, a clarification was promptly issued.
It’s worth noting that this change in plans was allegedly not instigated by Vince McMahon. Following the conclusion of the broadcast, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful took to Twitter to share this insight.
