Tegan Nox makes a triumphant return to WWE Raw. During the September 25 episode, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had a backstage encounter with Nox. Lynch expressed disappointment that Nox hadn’t accepted her challenge on September 18 and explained she had Nox in mind for it. However, since Natalya was also present, Lynch deferred to her.
In response, Lynch told Nox that sometimes she needed to make bold moves and expressed her desire for Nox to be next in line for a title shot.
Nox took her aspirations to Adam Pearce and engaged in a heated argument with Natalya, who wanted a rematch. Pearce arranged a match between them. With Lynch watching from ringside, Nox secured victory over Natalya, pinning her with the World’s Shiniest Wizard.
WWE later confirmed that Nox would challenge either Becky Lynch or Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship on the October 2 episode of WWE Raw. Lynch would defend her title against Stratton in an Extreme Rules match at NXT No Mercy on September 30.
