During the October 2, 2023, WWE Raw, Adam Pearce announced that Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will vie for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) at the upcoming Fastlane premium live event.

Notably, this marks the first-time collaboration for Rhodes and Uso. Additionally, Balor and Priest are set for their second title defense after securing the titles at the Payback premium live event on September 2, 2023.
