Dominik Mysterio Reclaims NXT North American Title with “Dirty” Dom Resurgence
In the main event of the October 3 episode of NXT, “Dirty” Dom, days after losing the NXT North American Title, made a triumphant return to the top.
Facing Trick Williams, the opponent who took the title at NXT No Mercy, Dominik Mysterio secured victory with significant assistance from The Judgment Day. Finn Balor, Damian Priest, JD McDonagh, and Rhea Ripley all played pivotal roles to ensure Dominik’s success. The climax featured Dominik delivering a frog splash after Williams was incapacitated by a belt shot from Balor.
With Carmelo Hayes absent from the bout, Williams found himself defenseless. This victory marks Mysterio’s second reign as NXT North American Champion, reclaiming the title that Williams won on September 30 at NXT No Mercy. As a response to his loss, Dominik was granted a rematch on Monday’s WWE Raw, with Ripley emphasizing that he better win or not bother returning home.
