Tony Khan Clarifies Decision to Report Ticket Sales as Attendance for AEW All In

Tony Khan clarifies AEW’s All In ticket announcement. AEW initially stated an attendance figure of 81,035 for the event at Wembley Stadium on August 27. However, the Brent Borough Council reported a turnstile count of 72,265, and other sources indicated ticket distribution numbers ranging from 83,131 to potentially 85,528 according to local government records.

In response to a fan questioning the discrepancy on social media, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestle Observer explained, “For whatever reason, AEW made the decision to announce paid attendance rather than total, which is unusual for pro wrestling historically.”

AEW President Tony Khan weighed in, stating,

“The reason I announced the actual paid attendance 81,035 tickets sold, instead of saying over 85,000 tix distributed, is because our 81,035 sold at #AEWAllIn
@WembleyStadium in London is the all-time ticket sales record, whereas WCW North Korea shows hold tix distributed record.”
